We are pleased to announce a collaborative event between Historic Hope Lodge and Fort Washington State Park, taking place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hope Lodge. This event features an enlightening lecture titled "White Marsh: The Great Battle that Wasn't," presented by Nicholas Penza, Park Resource Ranger. In the late months of 1777, Patriot and British forces converged in what could have been a pivotal battle that would determine the fate of America. Join us as we delve into this significant historical moment and explore how the aspirations for independence persevered. This lecture is part of the preparations leading to the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, making it a timely and relevant discussion for history enthusiasts.
